Le Grainne Cafe: Escargot en Demi-Douzaine |
Now that the weather has finally become pleasant enough, we've crawled out of hibernation to revisit some of our favorite Chelsea spots.
Le Grainne Cafe has been one of our favorites since we
discovered it a couple of years ago.
Tonight we started with the Escargot en Demi-Douzaine and used their delicious fresh baked bread to sop up the garlic butter. At this point I realized that a glass of rose would be the perfect accompaniment to this lovely springtime evening.

Le Grainne Cafe: Moules Marinieres & Salade de Poulet |
For our main courses, The Mr enjoyed the Moules Marienieres and I got the Salade de Poulet. I'm pretty picky about chicken because I normally find it dry and unappetizing, but I almost always order this salad and the roast chicken is always moist. The potatoes and ratatouille also make this salad far from boring.
Perfect for brunch, lunch, dinner, or a glass of wine whenever, this is a perfect neighborhood cafe.
