Yuji Ramen in Bowery Whole Foods |
Being a huge ramen fan, I'd been hearing great things about
Yuji Ramen located in the food court on the 2nd floor of Bowery Whole Foods. However, I had also heard it was a temporary pop-up shop, so I wasn't even sure if it was still there. I did hear that they were opening a second location in another location in Williamsburg though, so figured it was pretty likely. We needed to go shopping (for ramen ingredients no less) at Whole Foods so decided to find out.
It turns out my hunch was correct and we found Yuji Ramen still open and thriving. We were starving so got a bowl of Tsukemono (pickled market vegetables) and some Barley tea while we waited for our main dishes.

We didn't have to wait very long and we quickly received our food. We got an order of the Daily Shoyu Ramen which featured mussels and Bacon & Egg Mazeman. We loved the fact that the broth is slightly different each day as they make it daily from whatever bones are available from the butcher downstairs.

This was a fantastic treat to kickstart our Whole Foods shopping trip, but not something we would go out of our way to get.
