The Mr. loves him a good breakfast sandwich and I keep reading that Melt Shop is quite the contender in this arena. Unfortunately, we arrived after noon, which is when they stop serving breakfast. We were disappointed of course, but quickly consoled by the promise of grilled cheese.
I ordered The Truffle Melt and The Mr. ordered a grilled cheese with some extra goodies and then we ordered a Strawberry Lemonade and Shop Tots to share. There weren't that many customers, but the employees seemed pretty overwhelmed. It took a really long time to get our order (long enough that we went up to check that we hadn't been forgotten). Then, when we finally got our order, The Mr.'s extra toppings were long forgotten and he wound up receiving a plain grilled cheese. But since we had waited so long we were just too hungry to wait again for the slow process and just decided to eat it.
The Truffle Melt was decidedly delish, but the tots were just OK, and the plain grilled cheese was way overpriced for what it was. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with our experience overall.
