Tasty Taco Treats at Tacombi

The Tacombi cart showed up in Chelsea Market a few months ago, but I hadn't had a chance to check it out yet. So when The Mr. and I were hunting around the neighborhood for an afternoon snack it seemed like as good a time as any to see if they pass our Texas Taco Test.

We ordered a Pollo Con Salsa Verde and two Al Pastors. Each taco is served on two fresh small corn tortillas. The filling is generous, and muy tasty but the $3.67 price is a definite reminder that you are NOT in Mexico or Texas. Lucky for them, there is a definite shortage of good tacos in Chelsea, so we are willing to cough up the dough next time we are looking for a yummy taco treat. And if they start serving breakfast tacos at this location, we'll be sure to scope those out too.
