Farmy & Cozy Community Table |
I've been reading a lot of great things about relative newcomer
RedFarm since it opened last August. Once a saw a picture of their Pac Man Dumplings I knew I had to try it out for myself. We skipped lunch and got there right at 5pm for an early dinner to avoid having to wait. Inside was warm and cozy like a farmhouse kitchen which was perfect for such a bitterly cold night.
The wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as we put together our light meal of Starters and Dim Sum:

Pac Man Shrimp Dumplings |
Each dumpling was shrimp with another flavor. I don't remember them all, but pink was ginger, and blue was leek. Pac Man himself was tempura sweet potato on a bed of guacamole. I loved this dish because it was just as tasty as it was fun and adorable.

Kat's Pastrami Egg Roll |
Here is where the 'fusion' part really set in. Another fun and unique idea with the yum-factor to back it up.
|
Truffle & Chicken Soup Dumplings |
These were on the specials menu. A bit pricey, but oh so worth it. The Mr wanted to order a dozen more until I reminded him that these were not Vanessa's priced :)

Kowloon Filet Mignon Tarts |
Mmmm tender bites of steak topped with crispy onion tendrils on a mini tart. There was some kind of filling in the tart as well that I couldn't quite place, but was a perfect taste and consistency addition.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and plan to be back. I love a menu with such interesting items that are not just different for creativity's sake, but are made to be utterly delicious.
