Mozzarella, Roasted Portobello, & Truffle Oil Risotto 

We were wandering around the West Village scoping out the damage from Hurricane Irene and we started to get hungry. Not a lot of places were open, so we decided basically decided to just grab something at the first available option. That's when I spotted Risottoria. Oh what divine providence! We had no idea what a treat we were in for.

Like many NYC places, the seating is tight, so I would not recommend this for a group of people. However, for just us two on a lazy Sunday afternoon it was perfect. We enjoyed our breadsticks with our glasses of rose and wished we were a bit hungrier as we jealousy eyed the pizzas, salads, and paninis at the tables next to us. Our Mozzarella, Roasted Portobello & Truffle Oil Risotto arrived and we knew we had made the right choice. So cheesy and so creamy, this was the perfect size for us to share. What a fantastic discovery to end the weekend with!

Oh and P.S.- they specialize in gluten free foods, so for all you celiacs or non-gluten eaters looking for a place in NY, this is a must!
